good free access 2002 beginner tutorials?

I'm having trouble getting started, particularly with the tables design.
Whatever I come up with seems not to fit all the cases.
 
Go to your nearest megabookstore, get a cup of coffee, and
start perusing the multiple third party manuals on
Access.
 
That's on my agenda for tomorrow. I plan to investigate "Access 2002 for
Dummies." It's less than $20. My two huge books on Access 2002 ("How to Do
Everything with Access 2002" and "Microsoft Office XP Inside Out") are over
my head.

If there is insufficient difference between them to matter much, I already
have a good training program on Office 2000 ("Microsoft Press Office 2000
Step by Step Interactive"). It includes interactive training in Access 2000.

Use it. The differences are real but rather esoteric (i.e. Web
interface from a database); in fact, Access2002 creates new databases
in A2000 format by default.

Your suggestion of the Dummies book is... well, it runs the gamut of
knowledge of Access from A to B. When I've looked at it, it seems to
be targeted to *users* of existing Access applications; it doesn't
give you much at all about *creating* an Access app. If you take
Viescas' book in small sips instead of big gulps, I think you'll find
that it will lead you in the right direction pretty well.

I fail to see your point since you hardly understand 2000 already.
Besides Access 2000 has way more books, since it has been around for
much longer.

I've started with MS Access 2000 bible (the gold book) very recently. I
thought it covered most of what I needed to learn to get started.
DON'T get the Access for Dummies, it's not that good.

Later get Access Developer's HandBook (1 & 2).

Thanks for the tip. I checked out the Viescas book, "Running Access 2000,"
and it seems to be what I need. It's also $20, which puts it ahead of the
Dummies book.
 
I am a Novice and am struggling with Viescas' running Access 2000. I found
that Access 2000 for Dummies helped me understand Viescas better although he
assumes the reader knows more than I do.
