When I am typing a document, I cannot get to the next pageonce I reach the
bottom of the first page. If I open a file from a disc, and it has multiple
pages, Word will not "open" any pages other than the first page.
In the past, I have installed a new normal.dot, and this didn't work. Most
recently, I purchased a copy of Microsoft Office 2003. Word does not work
properly here, either.

So when you get to the bottom of the first page and you keep on typing, what
happens? Are you sure that it is not just a case of you working in Normal
View in which case pages are not actually shown with margins etc.? In a
multipage document that you open, what happens when you use Ctrl+End?

Hi, Word Pager.

You should never open Word documents directly from a floppy disk, because
doing so will probably corrupt them. Copy the documents to your hard drive,
and open them from the HD.

Open one of the documents you're having this problem with. Click on Format
| Columns | One | Apply to: Whole Document. Even if "One" already appears to
be selected, click on it anyway. After you do this, the "Equal column width"
box should be checked and grayed out. Click on OK.
