Sid (12/12/03) may have asked the same question. I link File A to a bookmark in File B. This works fine ... file B launches and I am taken to the desired place in the document. However, if I keep File B OPEN and return to File A, and select another link to a bookmark, I return to the TOP of file B rather than to the bookmark. Very frustrating. The only way I can use the bookmark is to close File B before hitting the link in File A. This makes it impossible to work with two documents open at the same time. Any help would be fantasti

Hi Jay,

What Word version?

You mean:
FileA has two links to bookmarks in FileB: for example: BKM33 on page 3 and
BKM55 on page 5;
You set the two bookmarks, save and close FileB;
From FileA, you click on the link to go to BKM33;
FileB opens at the desired spot on page 3;
You leave FileB opened;
You return to FileA;
Click on the link to go to BKM55;
You end up at the top of page 1 in FileB instead of on page 5?

I tried it and did not experience that, I ended up at the expected location
on page 5.

I have seen that problem, but with the new version of Acrobat (Acrobat), not
with Word.
