In outlook, I added the News Command to the Go Catagory but did not subscribe
to any newsgroup at that time. When I came back to view the newsgroups, the
"News" WAS NOT in the Go menu. I then tried to drag it from the Commands to
the Go category but it was not listed in the Commands (this is where I
dragged it from the first time). Now I have no way to get to the newsgroups
from the Outlook Menu "Go". Is there a way to correct this without
re-installing windows XP? Thanks in advance for any help.

Do not reinstall this is a bug in Outlook. Happens because Outlook is not
really a Newsreader only Outlook Express is.

Outlook is not a newsreader; it uses Outlook Express. Either set up OE
for your newsreading or use a different newsreader entirely. There are
many good newsreaders for Windows.
