Gmail account does not appear on Folder List

I added gmail as a new email account in outlook and have no problem
sending and receiving mail, but the account does not show up in the
Folder List for Outlook so I cannot see my inbox for gmail on
outlook. Can anyone help?
 
POP3 mail accounts like GMail feed their mail into a single Inbox folder.
Only IMAP & Hotmail accounts create their own folder trees

Unless you use Outlook 2007 when you can specify a folder to deliver mail
to......
 
True but a new POP3 account won't create its own folder tree but thanks for
reminding me.
