Global icon change

I made the mistake of installing a photo editor program that proceeded to
change the icons on every photo in my computer (some 20,000). When I
uninstalled the program it did not change the icons back to the original
ones. I finally decided to use System Restore to get back my original
icons.

There must be a simpler way to do this!??

Any advice?

Did you try re-associating your pictures with your previous default program?
