Question: When I start Outlook 2000 I get a message saying "The server
containing the global address list is no longer available". Does anyone know
how I could go about fixing this problem? Thanks. J.

What scenario are using Outlook in? Desktop computer at work? Laptop that
you connect and disconnect from an Exchange Server?

Sounds like you used to be connecting to an exchange server but now have
moved away from your original connection. Tools | Services allows you to
change the connection settings of your account.

Thanks for your reply, I'm using a desktop computer at work. It is also
giving me this problem: In order to reply to an email I must delete the name
on the original sender in the "to:" field and re-enter the name of the sender
by clicking on "to:" and selecting them from my contacts. If I recieve email
from someone not in my contact list I have to add them as a contact and go
though the process re-entering the contact in the "to:" field as mentioned
earlier. If I want to send an email to an address not in my contact list I
have to create a new contact and enter the email address that I want to send
the email to and go though the process re-entering the new contact in the
"to:" field mentioned earlier. It get really annoying to reply to email that
I receive. Any help would be greatful.
