Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to give a slide a title so it
shows up in the slide navigator instead of just the slide
number. I've tried adding text boxes and cut/pasting
title text from other slides but that didn't work. I have
PowerPoint 2002.

TIA,

In the normal view, activate the outline tab and type the slide title in the
area adjacent to the slide number. The text that is typed here will appear
on the slide in a title placeholder shape. Only text present in the title
placeholder shape appears in the slide navigator text.

Type your titles in the title placeholder. If your slide doesn't have a
title placeholder, re-apply the slide layout. If you don't want the title to
show on the slide, but just in the outline and slide lists, drag the
placeholder off the visible area of the slide.
