ghosting windows xp

i have purchased 40 new machines.
if i use norton ghost to setup machine 2-40
will i have trouble with the windows updates for these
machines

No. Install the updates before you ghost the pc. But, you'll have to use
sysprep to make sure each pc has a different SID.
