I have a 17 inch LCD monitor. Every time I access a web site there are large
margins on each side of my screen. I would like the screen to fill up
automatically when I click on a web site. I don't like to have to click the
maximize button every time I pull up a new page. There must be an easy
solution to this. I looked but can't find it. Sorry for such an easy
question.

what has worked in the past.
open site.
open second window.
manually stretch second window to fill screen.
close first window.
hold shift key down and closed remaining (second window).

Hit F11 on your keyboard to enter/exit fullscreen mode. This works in IE,
Firefox and Mozilla.

Start>All Programs>right click Internet explorer>Short cut tab>run:>
Make a choice.

Yes there is a small program "AutoSizer"
http://www.southbaypc.com/AutoSizer/
that can force windows to be maximized.
Alternatively you could try a tabbed web browser like "Firefox"
http://www.mozilla.com/
where you only have one window open (that stays maximized) and open new
pages
in tabs instead.
