My windows is genuine, but I've not installed WGA update (just dont want -
its my choice). Can I still getting updates selectively - select what update
or fix to install and what - not? Or I can use only "express" install -
without possibility to select from them?

Regards

Hi,

You don't have to have WGA installed (at least yet). If you uncheck it,
it will ask you NOT to ask again, so reply to it appropriately. All
other updates will come through normally. Just don't have AU download
and install the updates automatically for you if you want the option to
select.

Don't have to keep proving you are not a thief over and over and over
and over with this nice little PEOPLE FRIENDLY utility.

I recommend you get updates directly from MS, not from a 3rd party as
suggested by another poster. You don't need WGA installed to get updates as
Terry indicated.

Just to clarify: to uncheck box on this update message?(yellow icon in the
status bar) Also, where to select manual update mode?

Hi Santander,

Unchecking a box for an update should prompt a dialog asking if you want
to be notified of that update again.

Manual update would be to use Windows Update in All Programs, or going
to the to the security update site:
