Hi,

this may be a dumb question, how how again do I get rid of those message
bubbles
from the Windows Taskbar everytime I connect to the internet, or everytime
new hardware is being installed?

I've been trying to find where to change but no luck.

Thank you very much and Happy Holidays!

Gerard

Gerald,

Anytime you need the Registry editor it isn't a dumb question. Follow these
directions to enable or disable the Balloon tips:

* click Start > Run > type REGEDIT > ENTER

* navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

* right-click the right pane, select new > DWORD value > name it
EnableBalloonTips

* double click EnableBalloonTips > give it a value of 0

ps-If you don't want to use REGEDIT and you have TweakUI:
open TweakUI > Taskbar & Start Menu > uncheck 'enable balloon tips', OK

To Download TweakUI:
