I had a crash and in order to get up and running I had to install
Windows XP again. I labelled it Windows1. Everything is OK except
that I now have Windows and Windows1 and the system is booting from
Windows1. I would like to delete Windows and rename Windows1 to

Thank you for your very succinct article and instructions and for your prompt
response.

I printed your instruction and followed them to paragraph 4. However, when
I tried to delete the Windows file it would not remove the file. It is
indicated to be an ordinry "read only" file. Please advise me how to
proceed. Again, thanks.

Make sure you are booted into the Windows you want to keep.

Thanks again. I was hopeful, but using the DEL WINDOWS command, it
went through the first 5 files and returned the message "unable", then
quit. Would it be feasible to go to the Windows folder and remove the
contents, then remove the folder?
