Dave

I accidentally set a web site background as desktop wallpaper. Now the
annoying shortcut appears in Desktop settings.

How do I locate the "Internet Explorer Wallpaper" and wipe it out at the
source?

Dave, right click on your desktop, goto properties, click on desktop, go through list of backgrounds, then quite simply right click on the annoying IE wallpaper and delete

Hope this help

Nis

Do a search of your hard drive for the file Internet Explorer Wallpaper.  You can simply delete it from the folder.

Hi Dave,

The pictures that show up under display properties, desktop are located in
these folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\My Documents\My Pictures
C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper
C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
