How do I get out?I believe my computer is running in safe mode

Try this...
Click START button|RUN and type...

msconfig <enter>

Click the BOOT.INI tab and UNcheck the SafeBoot box.
Click on OK - and reboot.

If it's running in safe mode, you'll see a dialog box stating so when you log
in. That dialog will also suggest you use System Restore instead of Safe
Mode, and then awkardly let you answer a yes/no question with ok/cancel
buttons (I hate when a dialog asks a yes/no question and then you can't
respond accordingly because they used the wrong button lables... it confuses
many users...)

Also when you're in safe mode, you'll see SAFE MODE stamped around all the
edges of the screen.

Hi,

Restart manually unless you forced safe mode by enabling the /safeboot
option in msconfig. If this is the case, you need to rerun msconfig and undo
that option on the boot.ini tab. If that is not an option, you need to
manually remove the read only attribute from boot.ini, then open the file in
notepad and remove the /safeboot parameter.
