Getting into Admin a/c on XP without a password

I managed to get a virus on my PC last night -
Downloader.Trojan despite Noton being bang up to date. I
ran Norton and it found and automatically deleted it. I've
re-run and no virus now found.

My problem is that it seems to have blocked certain keys
on my keyboard, when using certain products. Keys N, B, C
and spacebar don't work in IE, MSN Messenger but worst of
all XP login in. The Administrator a/c has a letter N in
the password so can't log in and sort things out,
reinstall windows, Explorer, (if I have too) etc. Any
thoughts how to get around this?

Run norton is safe mode and make sure that there isnt anything left behind
doing damage. Also run a spyware program adaware or spybot are good tools
for this. Also try removing the keyboard from device manager, restart and
see if it picks up the keyboard attached.

boot from a dos-based floppy disk and see if the keys concerned are still
faulty - it could be that what you really need is a new keyboard.
