Getting emails in Outlook that I'm not getting in Outlook Express

I use Outlook Express to send/receive work emails. My email account is setup
on Outlook and Outlook Express. I've had people tell me that they've emailed
me and I've never responded, only because I didn't receive it in my Outlook
Express mailbox. When I opened Outlook there were emails that I never
received in my Outlook Express mailbox. I just now deleted my email account
on Outlook and kept it only on Express. Will this help? Was it because I had
my email account setup on both? I hope someone can help!

Both Outlook Express and Outlook can be set up with a POP3 and SMTP server usually provided bt your ISP. If you
have both set up for the same e-mail accont then it is anyone's guess which of the two will receive the mail when it
queries your IPS's POP3 server. If they are both open and both query at the same time then I don't know which is
going to receive the message.

I would pick one for your POP3 server and stick with that. Either Outlook or Oulook Express. Since Outlook
Express works well with an HTTP server and Outlook doesn't, I'd put the POP3 server set up for Outlook and the http
server set up for Outlook Express. This means remove the account there in Outlook Express for the POP3 server. Set
that up in Outlook.

I know this response is somewhat late in coming, but I just joined this
group. I also use OE6 and Outlook on both my work laptop and personal PC.
It sounds as though you have Outlook setup to remove the email from your
server after you download it. In Outlook, go to tools->email accounts.
Select the account then change settings. You'll see a checkbox that asks if
you'd like to remove the mail from the server. Ensure it's NOT checked.
