Getting Echo when playback

I have recorded narration onto a PowerPoint Presentation and when I go out to
the client I am getting an echo when playing on my laptop. Any suggestions?

Which version of PowerPoint? Which operating system? Some new laptops have a
built-in microphone. Make sure it is disabled when presenting.
