I seem to remember someone posting a program that will get all kinds of
info about digital pictures (taken by a digital camera), such as time,
date, etc. I'd like to know more than just DC100-016!

Thanks in advance.

Irfanview, if you install the plugin pack.
www.irfanview.com

It will show you --if available-- the jpg comment, EXIF info
(technical data about the picture and the camera) and IPTC
(description of the picture's content, it's maker, etc.)

I've found nothing better than PixVue. It integrates with Windows
Explorer and gives you all IPTC & EXIF info when you left click on an
image. Very fast and you don't even know it's there until you need it.
I use it for genealogy and can embed all sorts of historical info into
images. Google for the website, give it a try - you'll love it.

Many thanks, Peter, Gerald, and Dan. Excellent suggestions. (I do use
Irfanview, so I'll look for that particular plug-in.)
