I have a recnet problem. First of all, when I try to do a system resotre,
the computer goes thru the motions, but at the end tells me it could not
restore to the point I picked. It does not matter what restore point I pick,
it tells me the same thing each time. But the second problem is that i keep
getting bumped formt the internet. I have a cable conneciton, and i can
sometimes go as long as 5 or 6 minutes, or maybe as little as 2 or 3 minutes,
but I will get bumped off the internet . I was using IE6. and switched to
IE7.x but the results are the same. I use Outlook express and get the same
results----get bumped after a few minutes. can anyone help? I did the usual
things--re installed the drivers, did a diagnostic on the NIC and did what
the prompts asked. did everything except smash the tower. Even called the
internet serive provider and had them check things--everything ok acording to
them. PLEASE----KEEP ME OUT OF JAIL-----HELP ME.

are you using a router ? ...reset it

ask your ISP that you would like a replacement cable modem (just to be sure)

You may have a virus or some malware infection.
That is the mostly cause of the problem.
