Hi,
Administrator name does not show up on the Welcome screen. That's the
reason why Windows XP, at the first logon as administrator, it prompts you
to create another computer administrator. To logon as Administrator follow
either of these steps:
Step 1:
======
1. Start the computer in Safe mode my pressing F8 at startup after the POST.
2. You can now logon as Administrator and copy/move the files you have
downloaded to a new folder under c:\ drive.
Step 2:
======
1. Logon as another user who has administrator previlages
2. Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Administrator's
Documents" for Administrator's documents and copy/move it to a folder under
C:\ drive
3. Then go to "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop" for the
files saved on desktop and copy/move to a folder under C:\ drive.
Step 3: (For Ctrl+Alt+Del dialog box)
======
1. Click Start -> Control Panel
2. In control panel select "User Accounts"
3. In the User Accounts windows select "Change the way users log on or off"
Note: If you have enabled "Offline Files" you may be prompted
informing Fast User Switching cannot be used. Click "Cancel".
4. Uncheck the box for "Use the Welcome screen"
5. Click "Apply Options" and close the "User Accounts" windows
6. Log off or Restart the computer.
7. After the restart, you would get a window titled "Log On to Windows"
8. Type in the username (as "Administrator") and password.
Hope this helps ......
