Getting an error DVPSETUP.exe error 0x80004005 during DirectVoicePlay Setup cann

Getting an error DVPSETUP.exe error 0x80004005 during
DirectVoicePlay Setup cannot execute.

I have tried everything and I mean everything to fix this
error, I downloaded patches and edited the registry from
directions, I have downloaded drivers and codecs. All
kinds of things and I STILL get the error when I run
sound test wizard.

Can anyone help me>?

no, I will not tell you HOW to fix that
problem with your DpvSetup.exe...because I also have the
same stupid problem!!It is obvious that these idiots from
Microsoft have no idea as to how to fix this "out of the
blue" annoyance. I followed their instructions in the
belief that they would help me but...as usual...they dont
know. Could you please send me an e-mail stating the
solution...if anyone answers your request at newsgroups?
Another question, Im trying to figure out WHAT I did
differently with my sound system.What I did do was to
adjust, for the first time, the way the Sound Blaster
records sound and convert it to cd quality whenever I use
the recorder.Were you doing the same thing? If so it must
be that. I remain

I do not know what happened with this error. Probably is
a registry command thats wrong. I do have Sound Blaster
Live Sound card as well. I wished I knew how to solve
this problem.

have you installed a logitech camera? I think it
interferes with the sound card. I also have Sound
Blaster, and the error seems to occur when I plug in my
camera.

I am still researching this problem. Everything works, I
do not understand the problem source.

Have you any luck with it?
