I recently had 1 of my PC's have a major crash and was wondering if it was
possible to restore it using my other PC.

Bill

You need to provide more information about the crashed computer and what
you have done to get it to work again.

Please describe what happens when you try booting to normal mode.

Have you tried Last Known Good Configuration?
A description of the Safe Mode Boot options in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222/en-us

Try booting with only keyboard, mouse and monitor connected.

What is the computer make and model?

What do you have by way of a Windows XP CD?

Hope this helps.

That would depend on what you mean by "crashed" and by what you mean by
"restore." But, in general, the answer is likely to be, "No."

Aren't you being rather negative. A second computer can be helpful when
diagnosing what went wrong i.e. you may be able to look at Event Viewer
reports and logs etc.

Especially the defrag reports <SNORK!>

It's hardly appropriate in the this case but then you do not know much
about interpreting Defragmenter reports!
