Get the file owner

Hi all,

Any ideas how to get the owner of the file in windows XP.
I tried using dir /q but I cannot get the owner... the
output gives me a dot(...) but in windows 2000 I can see
the owner of the file. See samples.

Is these have something to do with domain since the files
I want are in different domain name and mapped only in my
windows xp workstation.

In windows XP,

03/13/2004 03:03p 1,799 ... file.txt

while in windows 2000,

03/13/2004 03:03p 1,799 domain name\aliyah file.txt

Hi, my file system is NTFS. Any suggestion how to get the
owner of the file.

I noticed after I clicked Send that you were working with the command line.
(Best spell checker and proofreader around is that button!) Sorry. It may
be possible but I don't know of a way to get that information in that
manner.
