Getting a quick blue screen of death with an error message
saying the LZ32.dll file is possibly corrupt.,,, something
checksum .... doesn't match. Can't read the whole thing
before it reboots itself. Tried getting into Safe Mode,
last good configuration and still does it. So, how do I
get the computer to boot up long enough to go in and
replace that file from another computer in the house? Or
can I even do that. If I need to get to a dos (command)
prompt, tell me how to copy from a disk to the hard
drive. It's been a long time since I've moved around in
dos.

Please help. Thanks,
Cori

You could boot from the XP CD and go into the Recovery Console, then use it
to get a fresh version of the mentioned DLL in place... if your drive is
formatted NTFS, as many are these days, a DOS or Win9x/ME disk will not help
you at all. You'll have to use the CD and recovery console.
