Hi Folks,

In Excel (MS Office Pro 2000 w/ new XP OS) how do I overcome the default
copyright symbol ( "c" inside a circle) when I type: (c)
I jury rig it as ( c) i.e. insert a space before the "c" but I hope some
smart person has a better suggestion.

Kind regards,

D

David,

Delete the autocorrection via Tools / Autocorrect options

You can delete the autocorrect (Tools/autocorrect) if you wish. Note
that this will affect the other Office apps (i.e., Word) as well.

OTOH, if you don't type (c) frequently, you can leave the
autocorrect alone and simply type CTRL-z after the conversion to
undo it.

Hi David,

or you make a new entry in Tools/autocorrect such as (c)) ==> (c)

kind regards

Jean

Yes, this is the best way - CTRL -z or just click on the UNDO button, this
applies to any of MS Office 'helpful' autocorrects...

Perhaps you may like to consider [tools>autocorrect ] and removing thi
one from the list? Or turning autocorrect off?

Just a couple of suggestions
