I'm trying to access a geocities site but all I keep
getting is a message stating 'cannot find server or dns
error' I've tried everything I can think of, which isnt a
lot. Can anyone help me
 
Are you blocking ads, cookies, popups, any or all of those things can
prevent access to various sites.
 
I've tried that. Took out all my pop up killers and such.
Could it be anything in my internet options as I don't
really understand them
 
Be sure you've cleared the cache, open IE, go to Tools, select Internet
Options, on the General tab, click Delete Cookies, Delete Files and accept
the option to delete all offline content and clear History.

Then, go to the Security tab, click Restricted Sites, click the Sites
button, be sure Geocities is not on the list. You might also place on your
trusted sites list. Click Trusted Sites, type in the Geocities web address,
click add. If the Apply button becomes active, click apply and ok.

Go to the Privacy tab, under Web Sites, click edit and be sure Geocities is
not set to "Always Block" or "Block."

getting to it, you probably have the wrong wed address.
I've done that a few times. Like missed a / here or there
and it screws the whole thing up.
 
hello chris*, anyways, its just a geuss but check if you
ISP is doing there job, can you connect to other
websites? if not the it might be a good idea to check
with you ISP. to find a website , you go through servers
to find it. try that, srry if it doesnt help.
