I'm unable to access any webpage located on the www.geocities.com site. I have been trying to access two different personal webpages hosted by geocities, and am unable to do so

The following message comes up when I try

"Internet Explorer cannot download....(name of the specific webpage) from www.geocities.co

Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

I can access webpages on www.uk.geocities.com

Go to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
and find the "HOSTS" file. It's the one that's bigger than 1 k. Make a
copy of it for backup. Double click it to bring up the "Open With.."
window. Choose notepad to open it, then delete every line except
"127.0.0.1 localhost". Save it.
