Genesys all in One Card Reader

Installed a Genesys all in One Card Reader the Icon software worked for
awhile then quit the machine also has a USB Iomega Zip Drive on it. Is there
a known conflict and a workaround?

I cannot explain why Windoze XP seems to work for awhile and then stop doing
so? Post after post around here reports similar experiences where XP tends
to fall apart during normal use. Sad, isn't it?
