Generic IEEE 1284.4 Printing Support Problem

When I go into Device Manager, there is a yellow question
mark next to "Generic IEEE 1284.4 Printing Support".
When I try to update the driver, the Hardware Update
Wizard cannot find the file it needs. How do I resolve
this? Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem and have not been able to solve it. Where d
you find the IEEE 1284.4 driver ? I have searched the web extensivel
to no avail.

nah its not soo easy if you dont have the CD, I have the problem and
the drivers which come from the HP site do not have an Setup.exe file.
Just the .inf , so installing the drivers without attaching the
printer is the problem i'm currently having.
