Generic Host Process

I am getting a message when I am in Internet Explorer - Generic Host Process has encountered a problem and must close
I do have an old HP Printer but I think I am using the XP driver. Has anyone any ideas? Murdu.

And we're supposed to guess as to which version of Windows you are using?

Go to Microsoft's support site (http://support.microsoft.com/). Search on
"generic host process" (exact phrase) for all products. Only 2 KB articles
show up, one for Windows 2000 and another for Windows XP. That will help
you understand what is the Generic Host Process (svchost.exe).

Did you look at the system logs in Event Viewer to see if any events got
recorded at the time the error occurred while in IE?
