Help!! My computer keeps shutting down on it's own.
Generic Host Process for WIN32 Services has encountered a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience. Any ideas how to get past this????

We need more information. Check the event log. Open Control Panel, go to
Administrative Tools, open Event Viewer, look for errors that correspond to
when the event happened, double click the error, the information inside may
give a clue as to the source of the issue.

go to this web site and post your error code here,
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...osoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain&fltr=
I have checked the web and could not find any more details to help you. Go
to msconfig start up tab and uncheck programs except for your antivirus.and
see if the error code disappears do one at a time(process of elimination)
Have you installed new ram or hardware lately if so perhaps uninstall and
see if that helps
Check out task manager and type the program eg. alg.exe into google and see
what is tells you (alg is your firewall so that is safe) do each one, if you
find one that is suspicious post back here so that I can check it out.
Have you run anti spyware program live Microsoft's, if you have not
I suggest you

Have you run antivirus program, if not make sure you update the antivirus
program first then do a full system scan

I have the same problem. Did you ever fix it?
