Okay, this problem has been occuring since December, but I haven't been upset
over it until now.
My situation: I reboot my computer for any reason such as when I
install/uninstall a program. However, after XP shows the shutting down screen
and my monitor goes black, nothign else happens. My CD drive makes some
spinning noise occasionally, but other than that XP doesn't want to reload. I
perform a manual shut down by holding down my power button on my computer and
it turns off obviously. I wait 5-10 seconds, turn it back on, and it comes on
fine.
I went into my computer management and went to System Tools > Event Viewer >
System and noticed there was an error around the time when I performed the
reboot. This is what showed up:
"The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) falied to load: Imagedrv"
Now I'm not sure if this is the actual cause of my problem, but I would like
to figure out how to fix this and see if it is. The only problem is I don't
know what this file is suppost to be for. I googled it, but only came up with
a site for downloading the file.
Any insight on this problem would be appreciated!
