General Protection Fault error at start up.

When starting windows xp home edition, the following
message appears at start-up: "General protection fault
error. Please delete file." How can I find the
offending file? How do I delete it? Thanks for any

DJ, you posted this message earlier today. This is a peer to peer
newsgroup with volunteers. It can take up to 24 hours for the right
person who might have an answer to see it and respond. Please have
patience. If after a day you don' get a response, indicate that in the
header with something like "Repost....".

Thanks for the reference to the ms config utility and
comments on group protocol.
What seems to have worked so far is restoring the
computer to an earilier date. --DJ
