General newsgroup question, email back?

When posting to MS newsgroups (or other newsgroups), is there a way to tell
the system to email me each time a response (or thread, or reply, whatever)
is posted.

This would be great so it wouldn't be necessary to keep going to the
newsreader to see when responses have been posted.

There is no such system.
It's better to check the groups on a regular basis anyway.
This way you get to know many solutions to problems in stead of only the fix
for your own.

Yes, there is, but you use the web newsreader to post.
If you have a Passport with a vaild email address, you can get email
notification of replys.
