The tables and queries stored in the MDB file can be used by other
programs, but the forms, reports, macros, and code modules can only be
used if you have Access software installed. With the Developer's Tools
(purchased separately in Access 2003, available with a special
Developer's Edition of Access in earlier versions), you can package an
Access database along with a run-time module -- essentially Access with
the built-in user-interface turned off -- so that the forms, reports,
etc. can be used by people who don't have Access installed.
