Yes buy a Pentium 4 3.4GHz, Hyper Threading 800Mhz FSB, also get 2- 3 gig
of ram. I would suggest this mobo, Gigabyte GA-8IPXDR Dual Prestonia EATX
Intel 7500.

Though buying the latest and greatest hardware is always a good and
expensive bet, there are many things you can do to optimize your PC. The
best thing to do is to not run a bunch of apps that leave things in your
system tray. Each one of those is fighting for CPU cycles. There are
various websites out there that give ideas of services that you can disable.
Try these at your own risk! Not all recommendations in these matters are
entirely safe!
