hey

i have a geforce 2 graphics card and installed using the
software on the nvidia website, had a problem and could
only fix by removing the card, now when i try to install
it it doest work it just has a blank screen and the
monitor is in standby.

what should i do, should i uninstall the drivers if so
how, because it doesnt have it listed in the device
manager

Adam, is the Graphics Card any good? Make sure it is seated all the way
in the slot. What problem
forced you to remove the card?

First, make sure your card is plugged in all the way as Rich said. Then
boot to Safe Mode by pressing F8 before Windows loads, then uninstall
the nVidia drivers in Safe Mode. Now reboot and download the latest
nVidia drivers and install them.

yeah the card is plugged all the way in and is working
fine, i can't seem to remove the drivers even in safe
mode. the display adapter isnt showing up in device
manager and i can see the drivers in the add remove
programs either

So it sounds like it worked ok to get into Safe Mode, so at least it
isn't at the hardware level. In Safe Mode, did you go Start-Control
Panel-Add/Remove Programs-Find NVIDIA Display Drivers, click it, and
click Remove? You shouldn't have to do anything in Device Manager ;)
