When I open certain emails (all from the same recipient),
I get the following error:

The dynamic link library gdiplus.dll could not be found in
the specified path c:\programfiles\common files\microsoft
shared\vgx;.;c:\winnt\and on and on an on...

It freezes up Outlook and I have to ctrl-alt-delete, and
end the program via the task manager.

Unfortunately, my Outlook is set up to open in the inbox
view, and this message (the latest with this problem) is
highlighted and instantly freezes the program as soon as I
start it.

I'm w/o my email, calendar, contacts, etc. until I figure
this out.

Thanks for any advice!

Open Outlook without the preview pane showing. Start->Run->outlook.exe
/nopreview.

Then delete the message or set Outlook to start in another folder
(tools->options->advanced->other.)

When I try to do that it gives me the following error:

"Cannot find the file 'outlook.exe/nopreview' or one of
its components. Make sure the path and filename are
correct and that all required libraries are available."

Is there a way to copy this gdiplus.dll into the correct
folder? When I do a search for this file, it shows up in
3 different folders.

Thanks!

Insert a space before the Forward slash of the command line
Go to Start > Run > type
outlook /nopreview
