Hello,
My OS is Windows XP SP2.
Windows task manager shows running a process called GCTRAY.EXE.
This process is in startup, in registry under local machine, and the file is called gctray.exe
This file is found in the Windows\system32\ folder and under its' properties the application is called GCTRAY MFC Application.
I searched for the file in my grandson's computer (the OS is as well WindowsXP SP2) and there was no such file or application. My computer system consists of:
1. Mainboard : Gigabyte 81945P-G-RH
2. Chipset : Intel 945P
3. Processor: Intel LGA 775 Dual-Core - Pentium D 3.00 GHz Model 930.
4. Total memory: 1GB DDR2 -DRAM (Corsair).
I would like to know what kind of application the "gctray.exe" represents and what is its' importance.
Any comments will be appreciated.
