gap between slides

In the "normal view" when I am scrolling through slides there is a gap
between two slides in the middle of the presentation. How do I get rid of it?
 
Could there be an object way off slide on one of the slides either side of
the gap.

Try zooming right out and ctrl A to select everything - see if you can see it.
