My internet provider notified me that I should install
the patches for these worms. When I tried to install them
I was notifed by a popup that my product key was invalid
and that I should contact my system admin. This is home
computer so I don't believe I have system admin. I
understand that these worms infect though the internet
and I want to install the patches ASAP any suggestions?

If you are getting the following error message when attempting to update to SP1:

Error Message: The Product Key Used to Install Windows Is Invalid

You'll have to purchase a new "Full Version" of Windows XP Professional
and perform a "Repair Install" using the new Windows XP Pro CD and Product Key
that comes with it. (You cannot simply change the Product Key)
