Games run to slow

Hi, have just recently changde from Win ME to Xp, all of
my old games are runing slower no. Counter strike, gta 3
and Max payne. They worked well before.
 
What processor and speed, how much physical RAM, type and speed, what
graphics card, how much memory and is the card sharing memory with main
system memory or does it have its own on-card dedicated memory?

Assuming a processor of 700Mhz or more, 256MB of Ram or more and 64MB or
more of memory on the graphics card, try removing and reinstalling the
games. Also, XP is graphics intensive, you might try turning off some of
XP's eye candy. Open Control Panel, open System, go to the Advanced tab,
click Settings under Performance, turn off some of the graphics effects
listed or possibly return to a classic Windows display under XP as that will
free up memory devoted to graphics on the system.

You might also run disk defragmenter, make sure you antivirus software is up
to date and run a scan on your system and download, install and run Ad
