Since upgrading my Creative SB driver midi files do not
play. Hence any games (including Win Media Player) that
use midi files cause the sound to stutter and / or repeat
and the machine to lock. Any idea how to fix this problem
without re-installing XP. Note I have tried restore, re-
installing drivers etc. and have all of the latest
drivers and DirectX 9.0b.

Hi Bill,

Try removing the card from Control Panel / System / Hardware /
Device Manager, reboot, and reinstall it using the latest drivers. :-)
