This error came up when I tried to run this one game. What does it mean is it in the BIOS

Well, it means that you must have at least a 12MB video card to play the
game.

Now, as for how much memory your video card has.. do this:

Start -> Run
Type in:

dxdiag

If you get a question, click "Yes".
When the window loads up and the status bar in the lower left finishes,
click on the "Display 1" tab at the top (may be just "Display" for you.) In
the top right area of the Window, it describes your Video Card...

What is the Name?
What is the Manufacturer?
What is the Chipset?
What is the Approx. Total Memory?
