game problem

I loaded the sims game and it worked good for awhile , Now after it starts loading it returns back to the desk top. (e-mail address removed)
 
This isn't the correct forum for help with games. But in general
the first thing to check is the Game's website for any updates or
patches for the game. Otherwise the list of possible causes
are likely video drivers, DirectX or a recent install that has a
interaction that causes the game to abort. Maxis has a good
site for getting help with their products.
