i loaded a game off of a 3 1/2 floppy and when i open it it wont run. A
message comes up with a heading 16 bit windows subsystem
c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt The system is not suitable for running
ms-dos and micrsoft windows applications. I had this on my comptuer before
but i wiped out my hard drive and cant get it to run again. Help

Try this,

copy autoexec.nt from c:\windows\repair to c:\windows\system32

Good Luck and Merry XMas

Error message when you install or start an MS-DOS or 16-bit
Windows-based program

Also can be caused by a Trojan installing a file windupdater.exe and
creating registry entries for that file.

AVAST (free antivirus software) can be the cause if SP2 is installed:

You can put back the standard version of autoexec.nt by copying a backup
copy held in windows\repair to windows\system32.
