Game freeze

I've been playing this game for awhile now, but only recently installed the patch. Now whenever I try to go to the campaign screen, the game freezes up. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the game, without the patch, but now it freezes regardless. Any help on how to fix this would be much appreciated

How does it freeze? Is Windows still responding in the background or do you
have to pull the plug on the machine?

First things I'd try would be to stop anything else running, virus software,
etc.

Check the event log for anything that looks like it could be related
(Control Panel / Admin Tools).

Make sure you've got the latest drivers for your machine, video and sound
particularly, they can usually be downloaded from the manufacture's website.

Windows still runs in the background, although I have to hi
Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get back to it, since the mouse quits responding. Th
game only freezes up in Campaign mode, and works fine in the other gam
modes. In Campaign mode, there's a video clip that plays in the top lef
corner of the screen before each mission. Now, this played perfectly before
but now it doesn't. I've tried updating the drivers on my system, and th
game still freezes
