Game controller

I have a controller that i've been trying to install, but
when i install the controller in control panel/ game
controlers, it doesn't work. When i add my specific
device which is a steering wheel, it says not connected,
but it is proparly connected so i don't know what i
should do. Can you help me?

Is it game port or USB?
