I have a server set as the authoritative time server and am using the
following time servers:
ntp2.usno.navy.mil, time-nw.nist.gov, time-a.nist.gov,
time-b.nist.gov
I've just noticed over the past couple of days that the time is almost 20
minutes fast. I can do a net stop/start w32time and that corrects the
problem. When I noticed the problem earlier in the week, I added the last
three time servers, but to no avail--I was getting 'NTP servers not
responding'. I've searched the KB, but haven't found anything yet. Any
suggestions?
Also, I've been getting event ids: 1566 & 1311. DNS is setup correct--thanks
to this forum and a MCP Mag article. It's periodic, maybe once a week. I had
thought that it was due to lines being down between here (host location) and
the remote office, but it's happening during different times of day and I've
received no complaints during the day time. Could the time error above be
the culprit?
